A product of Detroit’s rich jazz and electronic music tradition, Jones has performed and recorded with artists including Stevie Wonder, Faith Evans, The Clark Sisters and techno pioneer Mad Mike Banks of Underground Resistance. As the founder of the Urban Art Orchestra, Jones is known for pushing jazz beyond its traditional boundaries, blending improvisation with funk, hip-hop, electronic music and the deep musical heritage of Detroit. Expect a high-energy, soulful and genre-defying night from one of Detroit’s most distinctive contemporary jazz voices.
