A dimly lit music venue with a sign on the wall that says 'downstairs at 180.' There is a drum set, a grand piano, a Marshall amplifier, and small tables with candles on them. The space has a cozy, intimate atmosphere.

A one-of-a-kind jazz bar

Tucked beneath the surface, Downstairs at 180 has evolved into one of London’s most quietly compelling jazz rooms. A family-run space at its core, it carries a sense of care and continuity you can feel the moment you step inside. This isn’t music as background, but as the reason you’re there.

As well as a speakeasy cocktail bar, it’s a listening room at heart. Live jazz sits at the centre of the experience: stripped-back and intimate. Each performance feels close enough to touch; musicians trading phrases just feet away, the room breathing with them. Between sets, the carefully curated music carries the same intention, blending deep cuts with timeless records that shape the club’s identity.
