Frida Ruiz-Berman is a young, emerging jazz vocalist and actress from Houston, Texas, now based in New York City. After moving between Salt Lake City, Lisbon and Houston throughout her childhood, she developed an early passion for singing and theatre, eventually immersing herself in New York’s vibrant jazz scene. In 2025, she studied at the Tribeca Jazz Institute alongside musicians including Lucy Yeghiazaryan, Michael Kanan, Maucha Adnet, Greg Ruggiero and Chris Byars. Following the release of her debut album, Frida Ruiz-Berman, she has begun establishing herself on the international scene, with performances across the US and her first European tour taking her to Portugal, Oslo and England. Known for her classic yet expressive interpretations of jazz standards, Frida brings together the immediacy of her theatrical background with a deepening connection to the jazz tradition.
