Crowned ‘UK Jazz Act of the Year’ and ‘Vocalist of the Year’ at the 2022 Jazz FM Awards, Georgia Cécile is at the forefront of the UK jazz renaissance. Raised in Glasgow’s vibrant music scene and inspired by her grandfather, a celebrated jazz pianist, Georgia’s artistry draws from the timeless influences of Nina Simone and Stevie Wonder. After studying for a BA in Music at Edinburgh Napier University, she moved to London to write, produce, and collaborate — marking a decisive step in shaping her own artistic voice. She is joined by her outstounding guitarist, Aleph Aguiar, for an intimate evening of originals and classics at downstairs at 180.
