London-based pianist and composer Nico Widdowson celebrates the release of his debut album, On Fools and Clowns. Blending the stride piano of 1920s Harlem with the freedom and spontaneity of contemporary improvisation, Widdowson brings a playful and distinctive voice to the jazz tradition. Following appearances on BBC Radio 6 Music, BBC Radio 2, Jazz FM and Worldwide FM, and performances at We Out Here, Love Supreme and London Jazz Festival, Nico brings On Fools and Clowns to the stage for its official album launch.
