Jim Mullen and Aleph Aguiar bring together two generations of distinctive British jazz guitar. An iconic figure in the UK jazz scene, Jim Mullen has enjoyed a career spanning more than five decades, from his pioneering work with the legendary Morrissey–Mullen to collaborations with artists including Mose Allison, Jimmy Witherspoon and Georgie Fame. Venezuelan-born, London-based guitarist Aleph Aguiar draws on jazz, Latin American and Afro-Venezuelan traditions, with influences ranging from Wes Montgomery and Pat Martino to the music of his native Venezuela. Together, they create an intimate meeting of experience, tradition and contemporary energy, rooted in groove, improvisation and the expressive possibilities of the guitar.
